Series 20 with Heavy Duty Bearings
The model R20 is an optical shaft encoder in a 2" diameter x 1-3/4" long housing that can be face mounted using three 6-32 x .25" deep mounting holes on a 1.75" diameter bolt circle. The shaft is up to 3/8" diameter, either single or double ended. Electrical connection is through a 16mm circular connector or an attached cable.

Square wave outputs A and B are 50/50 duty cycle nominal. Output Z (index output) is approximately the width of one cycle on outputs A or B. Output A leads by 90 for clockwise rotation when viewed from shaft end.

Increases the pluse hysteresis to 1/2 of a pulse width, eliminating the effects of mechanical vibration and possible false output pulses. For example a 10 pulse per revolution output has 18° hysteresis (i.e. 360° ÷ 10 X 1/2).
